Job Summary
As a Gate Operations Agent, you are the face of Delta Air Lines from the terminal to the tarmac. You will manage the critical boarding process, ensuring flights depart safely and precisely on time. - Irregular Operations Management: Act as the ultimate problem solver during weather delays or flight cancellations. Rebook passengers, issue hotel or meal vouchers, and provide empathetic, transparent communication to ease travel disruptions.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict FAA and TSA regulations at the gate. Monitor carry-on baggage compliance, ensuring cabin limits are not exceeded, and process gate-checked luggage securely.
- Flight Crew Coordination: Maintain constant communication with pilots, flight attendants, and ramp agents to ensure all pre-departure requirements are met, culminating in an on-time pushback.
